Hi everyone,
As we just start a new year 2020 and getting ready to splurge on all those crazy new trends, the ultimate goal of “save more” quickly become unattainable. Today, I thought I would share a few tips on how you can buy less but shop better while transforming your look in the process.
1- Don’t buy something just for the occasion;
Instead of purchasing something specific for certain events, try to have a few dressier pieces in your wardrobe that are more versatile. I know : Easier said than done.
2- Don’t buy or keep something that doesn’t fit;
Try to be as realistic and honest to yourself as much as possible. If it doesn’t fit, it’s time to sell or donate. It also applies to those clothes that have been sitting in your closet forever waiting for you to lose weight for them to fit.
3- Don’t buy or keep something that doesn’t fit you;
Often we buy clothes because it’s a big trend or because we saw someone else wearing it and thought they looked amazing but they simply don’t work for you. If a piece of clothing doesn’t make you feel confident and comfortable, it has no place in your life.
4- Don’t buy something just because it is a bargain;
Never buy something just because it’s a great deal. No matter what affordable it was, if you never wear it, you are still wasting money
5- When you buy something, get rid of something else;
Definitely, the best way to keep your wardrobe at a reasonable size. You may also consider swapping clothes with friends. A clean, well-organized and not overloaded closet will make your life so much easier and will actually help you manage that urge you have to buy clothes just because you think “I have nothing to wear”.
6- Create a uniform-
One of the big misconceptions about being stylish is that you should never buy something similar to what you already own. Don’t be afraid to make most of the knowledge of what suits you. All the most stylish women in the world have their own uniform. They keep it simple, they know what they look good in and stick to this formula when they’re choosing new pieces.
7- Make some tough decisions;
Do not hold on to everything you’ve ever loved, especially if it’s something you haven’t worn for decades. Learn how and when to let go.
8 -Don’t invest in what you already own;
So here’s my theory. Invest in quality pieces as much as possible especially when it comes to handbag, wallet, shoes, watch, jewelry because they will last forever. I mean “forever” is a way of talk (but you get what I mean). If you do, instead of having to buy those goods over and over again, you can always invest a little bit of money to get them fixed when they wear and tear.
9- Don’t underestimate the power of a capsule wardrobe;
To be truly stylish does not take a huge budget or an enormous walk-in wardrobe worth of designer clothes. What you do need to know is to make good, sensible decisions. Buy what you need and what makes you feel great. Nothing more, nothing less. Need help to create a unique capsule wardrobe taking your style and personality into account. 10- Know your wardrobe inside out;
It sounds obvious but it’s easy to forget what’s sitting in your wardrobes, and many of us there will be great pieces hidden away that haven’t seen the light of day for years. so before you go ahead and buy something new, make sure you have a clear idea of what is in your wardrobe already

I know it might come as a surprise coming out with a post like this after that I have been blogging about all the latest trends. I think it’s good to stay in the know. Also, we can always incorporate some of them in our lifestyle from time to time. However, elegant women have a wardrobe that reflects their personal style and prioritize classy and timeless over trend. After all, have you noticed that classy pieces of clothing never go out of fashion?
Thanks for stopping by.
