Hi everyone,
For some women, wearing, and feeling confident in, dresses is as effortless as breathing, but for others, it can be an anxiety-filled nightmare. If you are self-conscious about wearing that stunning party dress you wee brave enough to buy but too afraid to wear, here are some tips to help you get confident and get that dress on.
1. Buy a dress that you love
If you want to feel confident in a party dress, ideally, you should start by choosing a dress that you adore, and which you think looks amazing. Ideally, it should also be a dress you feel like you could be comfortable in, so if you hate showing too much skin, go for something a bit more elegant or if you don’t like the tops of your arms, go for something with a sleeve. That being said, you should be able to feel confident in any dress you wear!
2. Find the right bra
In order to look amazing in a slinky little dress, you need to have the right bra. So, make finding the right bra priority. It won’t be quite as good as breast augmentation, but the right bra for you, and your dress will lift everything up, create a sleek silhouette and be totally invisible, Find this bra, and when you wear it with your dress, you’ll have an instant confidence boost.
3. Take good care of your skin
If you’re anxious about wearing a dress that shows some skin, it makes sense to do what you can to make sure your skin looks amazing, A few days before wearing the dress, start dry brushing your skin before showering, then moisturize with the best product you can afford afterward, Then, buff and moisturize your skin each day until the big event. Drink plenty of water so your complexion is as clear as possible too, then your skin will be looking so good, there will be no reason not to feel confident.
4. Do some exercise
Sure, exercising on the day you’re going to wear the dress won’t really make you any more toned than you already were, but it will make you feel fitter and healthier, and get those positive endorphins pumping so you’ll be buzzed and less likely to stress about the dress.
5. Focus on everything else
From having your hair professionally styled and blow-dried to getting the perfect mani-pedi, anything you can do to make yourself look and feel a million dollars will divert your attention from the dress, and if you are busy thinking about how greatest you look in various other ways, you won’t worry so much about the dress.
6. Use positive affirmations
Once you have the dress on and you’re looking amazing, if you still feel self-conscious about stepping out in it, try repeating some positive mantras like “I am worthy” or “I look great in my beautiful dress.” Pretty soon, you will start to actually believe it, or at least be brave enough to get out there nd show off your beautiful dress, and you know what, chances are you do look amazing in your dress!
