Happy Mother’s Day 2020

Hi everyone,

In Haiti, we celebrate Mother’s Day the last Sunday of May. So where ever we might be around the world, Haitian family always remember and celebrate Mother’s Day last Sunday of May that makes twice every year for most of us (same thing for father’s day). This year Mother’s Day is a very special one. In the middle of this crazy pandemic, it reminds us the little things we take for granted. I am grateful for health and for my loving family. Talking about family, this year, I had to actually teach my daughter the Mother’s day poetry that she will have to declaim tomorrow. How weird is that? This is the result of homeschooling. Anyway, since I also know them by heart, I will just share them with you.

Before I start – They (2) are in French. I will try my best and translate.

From my 6 years old daughter (Aby):

Maman:

Toi ma jolie Maman

Toi que j’aime tant

Je te fais mille bisous

Partout dans ton cou

Toi ma jolie Maman

Je t’aime de tout mon coeur

Translation

Mommy:

You my pretty Mommy

You that I love so much

I am giving you a thousand kisses

All over your neck

You my pretty Mommy

I love you with all my heart

From the 2 years old twins (Didy & Doudou)

I also received every thing that I need for some Mother’s Day crafts. What a special Day! I got to get my presents ready myself.
