Hi everyone,
Happy weekend! What are you doing for fun these days? Having fun during those days of home confinement will definitely help you get through this period healthy and sane. Personally, the twins are keeping me super busy and that can be depressing at time so taking the time to have fun without the kids become a challenge – almost impossible if you have been following me along. Anyway, there are plenty of things to do for fun while in quarantine and here’s my top 6:
1- Play dress-up: Try new outfits you normally wouldn’t wear (no one will see anyway!), be silly, be bold. Make it fun for yourself and something to look forward to. If you’re feeling uninspired with your wardrobe, try identifying one piece you’re into and building off of that. There are no rules, especially in the confines of one’s home. What better time than now to try something new?
2- Gather your friends for a virtual game night: Don’t let quarantine snuff your competitive spirit. Challenge your friends to bouts of Scrabble Go, Mario Kart Tour, or Monopoly. You can also play with the people you are quarantining with.
3- Check out (or argue about) the best TV shows of 2020 so far: Plenty of excellent programming hit streaming services airwaves just in time for the world to slow down. So get your popcorn and wine and enjoy! Movie nights anyone?
4- Learning new things can also be fun: There is a lot of free courses online and MasterClass has been offering quite a few for free. It is definitely the right time to learn something new that you are passionate about from people at the top of their fields who’d otherwise require a pretty penny for their knowledge.
5- Art & Craft: We all have a list of DIY things that we would like to try. Here’s an opportunity to try them all if not some of them: Tie-dye t-shirt, painting, sewing, scrapbooking, so many ideas to choose from. It also make a great family activity.
6- Read a book: The antidote for all the doom and gloom news you’ve been reading lately? An ebook (or a book – i love paperback book) about happiness, success, self-help, or another positive subject. Sure, romance or sci-fi novels count too! I love a good romance novels.this is yet another perfect activity for those staying in to avoid illness.
