Hello Gorgeous,
I’m back! I am sorry for going off the radar for so long after promising that I will do better at keeping up with my regular schedule. As a reminder to my international blogger community, I live in Haiti needless to say more since it’s all over the news. With the recent event and Coronavirus at its peak, the country is plunged into the darkness of uncertainty and we are anxiously waiting to see what the future will bring. In the midst of all this, a lot of positive things are also happening to me and I feel grateful (I will say more in the coming days). On a more positive note, I decided to make a comeback in a red monochromatic outfit (we will talk about the power and meaning of colors in the next post). For now, here are 5 reasons why you should consider a monochromatic look.
But before we move forward, What is Monochromatic
The word “monochromatic” breaks down into two pieces: “mono” meaning single and “chromatic” meaning color. So a monochromatic outfit would consist of pieces of one color.
This doesn’t mean that you would only wear solid black or solid red from head to toe (although I did just that :-)). No, the joy of the monochromatic fashion trend is wearing different shades and tints of the same color, these are monochromatic colors.
So here are 5 reasons why you should consider a monochromatic look
- Monochromatic outfits are great for petite women. It can make you appear taller and slimmer because a monochromatic outfit creates one seamless line from head to toe. Try it and see!
- The monochromatic look is currently very trendy. For summertime, you can’t go wrong with a white or nude outfit
- It’s effortlessly chic and fashion-forward. The chicest combinations are usually in neutral tones to include grey, white, black, or camel. An all-neutral look is so chic because these neutral tones are very luxe and look absolutely amazing when worn in an overall look. For a more powerful statement, why don’t you go all red?
- It’s also a great opportunity if you want to draw attention to an awesome new statement bag or pair of shoes. Color coordinate your top and bottom in a completely different color, and you’ll create the perfect canvas to show off your favorite new accessories.
- This trend looks expensive without having to spend lots of money. It’s definitely fashion-friendly for all budget types. You can shop anywhere from Forever21 to name brand designers to find the perfect pieces to style.

I am a big fan of monochromatic outfits! While monochromatic in neutrals can be very sophisticated and classic, I am with you that a monochromatic outfit in a bright bold color is really something special. This red suit is stunning on you! And I am loving those red heels, too. Fabulous look, my friend. I am sorry to hear that things have worsened in your part of the world with this darn virus. Stay safe!

This is a fabulous suit and I love the fact that you went completely red with the shoes too. Hope that there is an improvement in Covid news in Haiti soon.

That red looks fabulous and really suits you, I confess I don't think I've ever consciously worn anything monochromatic as I tend to stick to black trousers and grey tshirts, I'm no fashion trend setter, unfortunately most of my clothes choices depends on whether they'll get dirty when working with my dogs, but I look forward to checking out your posts as I'll probably learn something new to at least look tidier if nothing else xxx

Maybe you can try all gray, brown or black outfit with sneakers. It will still be a monochromatic look. Xo,
