As announced in my local fair issue (available here), I have scheduled a few more in-store session with a few other local entrepreneurs promoting our culture. For today, I am sharing our visit at Haiti Tresors mostly featuring “Les Tresors de Gerry collections“.
First of all, I was delighted to meet Gerry at the fair. I love her spirit and creativity. She is a very proud and passionate woman yet humble and very welcoming. She is the creative mind behind Les Tresors de Gerry where she designs unique pieces of jewelry, belts and clutches but also promoting local artisans thru Haiti Tresors where they can showcase and sell their products online or in their store located in Petion-Ville. By the way, the store was completely full with arts and crafts that it would be difficult not to find anything to your liking.
About Haiti Tresors.-
Haiti Tresors is a craft store where primarily Gerry promotes “Les Tresors de Gerry” but also creations of several workshops in Haiti. Her main goal is to provide their customers with a variety of works of art from different regions of the country.

Handcraft in Haiti is characterized by a wide range of original products, decorative or utilitarian, handmade using a wide variety of materials and traditional or sometimes modern techniques. Each of their pieces have been designed and manufactured with patience and love of art by creative craftsmen who put their inspirations, their time and know-how into their work.

Haiti Tresors was created with the aim to promote the creativity of craftsmen, to showcase their amazing work but also to be make them accessible to all art lovers. By doing so, they are playing a major role in helping this segment of the market grow stronger, creating more sustainable jobs and boost the economy of the country.
