Hi everyone,
Here’s to another partnership with LuxHairShop. They contacted me last month for a collaboration and I thought that they had some cute wigs that can be incorporated in your healthy hair journey. This is a few recommendations of Bob wigs for homecoming but can be incorporated in your healthy hair journey. Before we move forward, for all my Caribbean girls like me, let’s address the elephant in the room.
What is Homecoming? As per Wikipedia:
” Homecoming is an annual tradition in the United States. People, towns, high schools, and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back alumni, alumnae and former residents. It is built around a central event, such as a banquet or dance and, most often, a game of American football, or, on occasion, basketball, ice hockey, or soccer. When celebrated by schools, the activities vary widely. However, they usually consist of a football game played on a school’s home football field, activities for students and alumni, a parade featuring the school’s choir, marching band, and sports teams, and the coronation of a homecoming queen (and at many schools, a homecoming king). A dance commonly follows the game or the day following the game. When attached to a football game, homecoming traditionally occurs on the team’s return from the longest road trip of the season. The game itself, whether it be football or another sport, will typically feature the home team playing a considerably weaker opponent. The game is supposed to be an “easy win” and thus weaker schools will sometimes play lower division schools.”
It is definitely an event that the young generation go out of their way to look good and of course, for us women, looking good starts with good hair. But if you don’t celebrate homecoming like me, it is still something to consider integrated into your hair regimen. Check out my very first post here on the subject to read the benefits and the reasons why I would recommend a wig if you are on a healthy hair journey as opposed to some other options available out there.

As I struggle to reach my hair length goal in my journey, it happens to me too many times to look back and wish I could go back to those days where I would play with a pair of scissors just to follow the trend or just to be rebellious, to excessively use heat on my hair in order to achieve a particular hairstyle and to bleach out my hair like crazy just for the fun of it. The things that we do when we think that our hair are unbreakable and will always come back stronger than every with no proper care. Crazy!
Now that I know better and getting close to my goals (currently BLS leading towards WL), I often find my hair too long, too voluminous and too basic. And when I do fancy one of those heat-style hair, I am torn between the guilt and happiness altogether of what I’ve done.
With the evolution of wig and all the option that comes along, it becomes easy to get different hairstyle while protecting your hair. One of the hairstyle I am missing so much is the BOB style. I used to rock that style so much where I used to use my curling iron everyday with light brown hair and golden highlights. Anyway, here’s a few picks of some bob wigs I think would look good on me. Would you wear one of those. Please comment below and let me know your thoughts.
