Hi everyone,
Most people will confess that they don’t always feel good about themselves. Even the most attractive and confident people will have bad days, but if you feel bad about yourself more than you feel good, you might need a change in perspective about yourself. These tips could help you feel more beautiful and confident, and see yourself in a more positive light.
Stand Tall
Your brain talks to the rest of your body all the time, to check in with how you’re feeling. When your posture is good, and you are standing tall, your brains get the message that you feel good about yourself. Good posture matters when you sit too. People who sit straight in their chairs instead of slouching will feel more confident. Keep your shoulders back and chest open. You will feel and look more confident, and look taller too.
Be An Observer, Not A Judge
Try not to pass any judgements, even positive ones, when you look in the mirror. Don’t look in the mirror and decide what is good, bad, pretty, or ugly. If you have scars, don’t see them as flaws, but as signs of recovery from an injury. Instead of critiquing, try to take in your physical attributes in the same way that you would those of a child or a friend you love. Look with acceptance and appreciation, not with criticism.
Find Something To Admire In Yourself
Studies that make use of eye-tracking technology have shown that people who feel unhappy in themselves and their appearance will focus on the things that they perceive as flaws when they look in the mirror. Instead of doing this and thinking about what you would change, look at a feature that you do like, whether it’s your long lashes or your dainty feet. When your eyes take in something that you like, your brain will reward you, improving your mood and making you feel more beautiful.
Put On A Happy Face
Everyone finds that smiling faces are more attractive than nonsmiling faces. A smile lifts the muscles around the eyes and lips, which can give you a more youthful appearance, and will give you a feel-good effect too. Your brain gets an instead mood life from the muscle contractions when you smile, and that boost will carry on while people smile back at you. If you don’t feel good about your smile, try to keep hydrated, care for your lips and try teeth whitening to get a smile you want to show off.
Breathe Deeply
When we’re stressed, we tend to breathe in a more shallow way. Shallow breathing will also create tension in your face, throat, and shoulders. However, when you take deeper, slower breaths, you will look and feel more relaxed in your body. When you feel tense, take a moment to breathe. You can try this trick when you’re taking photographs if you feel nervous about having your picture taken. You will feel more confident and be able to take a better picture.
Thanks for stopping by,
XoXo,
