How to look Taller Part II

Hi everyone,

I hope you are doing fine. We are closing the series of “How to look Taller” if you are a petite or regular height woman wanting to add a few inches to your silhouette. Those tips have been proven to be very effective and have helped so many of us to feel more confident. I will also have another series of “How to look shorter” soon but for today let’s keep the focus on our petite women.

1- Vertical Lines & Details

Vertical detailing creates an optical illusion, tricking the eye into perceiving the figure as elongated and taller. You can create vertical lines in all kinds of ways but wearing accordion pleats is one of my favorites

2- Keep it simple with separates

The sizing of one-piece items like dresses, jumpsuits, and swimsuits can be tricky to get right. When in doubt, stick with separates! Mixing solo pieces is far more customizable, and allows items to be worn and styled in multiple ways.

3- Color Match

Colour match items like hosiery, skinny jeans, and leggings to the color of your shoes or boots to create an elongating effect. The monochromatic styling allows the items to blend into each other, creating super-flattering legs.

4- Choose pointed shoes (one of my golden rules)

Round and square-toe shoes shorten your leg length… Whereas, pointed-toe shoes elongate your leg by literally adding an inch or two to your foot. This applies to all shoes (heels or flats), as well as boots.

5- Neutrals & skinny straps

Ideally, it’s better to avoid ankle straps because they create a horizontal line that breaks up your legs. But, if you would like to wear shoes with an ankle strap, just look for skinny straps in neutral colors that blend in as much as possible
