Hi everyone
I hope you had a great week. Looking at those cute pictures, I realized that they are giving me “afternoon date with the hubby” vibes. I personally think that this ChicWish look is perfect for so many occasions and going out on a date is definitely one of them. So I decided to share with you 5 tips that will help you either for your first date or your next one with your significant other. Let me know in the comments which ones mean the most to you.

Personally, I feel like dates are a crucial part of any relationship. Nowadays, with our lives going 100 miles an hour, it becomes difficult to find time to enjoy one another. It is also really common for couples to stop going on dates after they become “official”. Sometimes you have to take a break and just focus on your person. This is why today I am here to share some guidance on dating. Here are my top 5 picks on the dos of dating.
1- Be mindful when picking the place.
Choosing the place to go on your date is really tricky. The location you choose will set the tone for your date. If you already know what type of activities your date likes, you can work around that. For example, if your date is allergic to bees, picnic dates should not be on your list.
2. Be a gentleman.
This one is for the men. Chivalry is not dead. Keep opening her door, hold the chair, bring flowers or a gift. A simple act beforehand will touch her heart and make her happy during the date and we all know what that means…
3. Be invested.
Cellphones tend to ruin a lot of good times. In my opinion, phones should only be used at the end of the date to take pictures to capture the moment. Checking your phone every now and then shows a total lack of interest and disrespect for the conversation.
4. Listen more
Here’s a debate: Who should listen/talk more? The man or the woman? I would say that they both equally need to talk. This is the only way you can get to know each other. But I will say, on a first date, let the Lady run the show, and if she’s the right one she will make sure to include you in the conversation. Ladies, one of the reasons why your date may be talking too much is because they sense that you are quite hard to impress and so they need to build up themselves in front of you. Maybe you are doing something that makes someone nervous and extra-talkative. So just relax and enjoy the date.
5. Don’t be underdressed
Well, first of all, you need to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Because when you look good, you feel good. Right? Right. Also, be mindful of the venues, and for a first date, we want to keep it: classy, and elegant, with a hint of playfulness and sexiness. Dates are nerve-racking, plain, and simple. Now, the art of perfecting a dating uniform is a skill to be learned, and it boils down to the notion that less is, in fact, more. So next time you find yourself asking, What should I wear on this casual date, remember the aforementioned tip and be true to yourself.
So what are your thoughts on dating and everything that comes along with it.? This post is written in collaboration with Karo’s Little Corner. She took me down to memory lane where going out on a date was a big deal :-). Lately, I’ve been enjoying unplanned casual dates and it’s way more fun.
