Hi everyone
Brown has been trending this season, there is no doubt about that. From the Loewe lug boots to Ganni oatmeal knit outfits, and MaxMara monochrome brown, it is everywhere. But the great part about the brown color trend is that you probably already have enough brown in your wardrobe to dip your toe in this color world without racking up a major credit card bill.
Love the color brown? And, wondering if you can wear a brown top with brown pants accessorized with a brown belt and brown boots and finished with a brown handbag and a brown coat? Or if you can wear brown pumps with a brown dress and brown accessories?
If you’re flirting with the idea of stepping out wearing all brown but you’re hesitating on account of concern over breaking the fashion rules for head-to-toe color matching, just follow this one tip: Mix and match different shades of brown.
With fall in full bloom, now is the time to start planning your looks for the earth colors season. There are different shades of brown and I feel like everyone should be able to find the shades of brown that makes him/her happy. Go tan or camel for an elegant and sophisticated look or go for deeper shades for a more laid-back or trendier look. There are so many shades to choose from:
Chocolate brown
Luggage brown
Camel brown
Gold brown
Cream beige brown
Camel tan brown
Dark brown
Luggage brown
Camel brown
Beige brown
Tan brown
There are so many shades of brown that there is no reason for anyone to shy away from wearing a head-to-toe brown outfit.
You can wear head-to-toe brown without anyone even noticing that you’re wearing all brown. Some shades of brown aren’t even immediately thought of as brown. So if you love brown and want to wear all brown but you also want to avoid the critical eye of those who think wearing all brown is a fashion faux pas, take a page out of the style books of famous ladies such as Kate Middleton, Tyra Banks, Eva Longoria and Olivia Palermo (all have stepped out in head to toe brown). Make sure you aren’t wearing just one shade of brown all over.
You don’t necessarily have to make every piece of our ensemble a different shade of brown from each other. Tyra Banks wore a brown dress with brown knee-high boots where the dress and the boots were pretty much the same shade of brown. But she offset the look with accessories (belt and clutch purse) that were a different shade of brown from the dress and boots.
For today’s look, I went for a totally brown look: Chicwish.com brown 2-pieces, shades, and sandals. I added this cropped puff vest in a tan color to bring more peps to the look and went for that gorgeous hydrangea blue clutch with gold accessories.
Have you ever tried a total look brown? Comment below and let me know.

This is such a great outfit on you! Wow! I love the two piece you picked out and its both sexy and also very subtle in it’s own way. All the details from the button down slit in the dress, the top wrap and twist in the front, it’s all just perfect and it fits you perfectly. How fun to pair it with a puffer, giving it a slightly more casual style. Enjoy your week ahead.
