Hi everyone,
I am so exited to bring you this post today that for the first time since I resumed with my blogging activities, I was a little hesitant about how to start the intro. I sometime mentioned on the blog that I am from the Caribbean, Haiti to be more precise. So I thought that it would be nice to share how we integrate art and crafting in our everyday’s fashion. This week will be exclusive to my hometown and for the first of the series, I collaborated with TiSakSuk, a small boutique with bold clothing pieces and accessories.
Tisaksuk is a manufacturer and retailer of arts and crafts in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Tisaksuk has developed an inventory of unique “made in Haiti” goods. Their products have added value to the existing market, their pieces have enhanced the image experience of everyone who holds quality, variety, service and fair prices to the utmost importance. Since they launched the clothing and home goods line, they confirmed that the market was craving something new and very local. They aim to encourage the use of “made in Haiti” products locally and abroad.
Their Tagline: “We are Haiti’s favorite “Made in Haiti” store!”
I was able to try on and photo-shoot some of their unique pieces in a magical place that brings together so many memories and history of our nation. Note that all of their clothing pieces are made out linen, karabela (chambray) or syam (khaki).
