This is supposed to be the last post in my “Made In Haiti” series but there are way more boutiques promoting our bold and rich culture that I am sue you will probably see more of them in the coming days. Today’s post is the most challenging shoot I have done so far since I started blogging: I am very self-conscious about my feet but, encouraged by friends and family, I had to give it a try, because, Creations Dorées is a store that I admire since they launched. I only have one pair of sandals from their because of how insecure I feel about those “too flat” feet to be exposed. Anyway, enough about me and my insecurities…
Creations Dorées is an Haitian company created in 2009 by Stéphanie Dartigue and Sara Magloire specialized in Hand made products and mostly produce for women: sandals, rings, necklaces, headbands, bags, belts, earrings, bracelets and key chains. They are currently looking to expand their creations to men and children. Creations Dorées work with semi precious stones, glass beads and Scarves and their products are sold at their showroom in Petion-Ville, fairs and many stores.
They aim to fill the life of their clients with colors magic and dreams by creating unique pieces and trying to exceed the eye’s expectations. Their motto is Unique and limitless.
Créations Dorées introduces the artistic passions of Haiti to the world with the launch of their website www.creationsdorees.com (currently out of service) back in 2016. Through an exclusive shopping experience, explore handmade sandals, jewelry, bags, and other accessories, all designed to express a woman’s unique style and creativity. All of these offerings are handcrafted in Haiti, using traditional artisanal style mixed with a taste of modernism. The subtle combination of colors and materials create unique pieces that celebrate the island’s rich culture and unique craftsmanship.
The pieces are simple, yet bold and colorful. They make a great statement and elevate any simple outfit like a plain tank top with shorts or jeans. The pieces are perfect for traveling; they easily transform your look from daytime to nightlife. The sandals are customizable and offer interchangeable scarves, making it easy to match any outfit.
