And yes! we are back with another “Made in Haiti” post featuring handmade jewelry made by LedaJewels. But here’s the trick: Elena, the founder of LedaJewels, is Russian who decided to move in Haiti after visiting and falling in love with our country. I got the opportunity of meeting Elena at a local fair. I fell in love with all the cute jewel pieces. She is a woman of great heart, very passionate about what she’s doing and most importantly make her customers feel like royalty.
About LedaJewels.-
LedaJewels was founded in Haiti by Elena who came to Haiti, fell in love with the country and stayed. Elena makes bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings using gold filled, sterling silver and also by request base metal materials. The main focus is on semiprecious stones and their healing properties that are incorporated into beautiful designs. Elena does a lot of custom orders which hold special meaning to all the recipients of LedaJewels jewelry.
So do you know your birthstone? Mine is Emerald but I mostly love diamond, ruby, amethyst, citrine, aquamarine (and all the pink ones 👧). Elena was willing to share a few meanings with us:
The meaning of Aquamarine (native of March) is communication. The gemstone gives its owner courage and confidence and helps smooth communication.
Diamonds (native of April) have been known for centuries to promote strength, invincibility, courage, creativity, and imagination. Help one to feel lighter, more joyful, and more aligned with Spirit. Stimulate and open all of the chakras, especially the crown. Promote self-worth, radiance, love, and connection to the Divine.
Emerald (native of May) rings loyalty and provides for domestic bliss. It enhances unconditional love, unity and promotes friendship. Keeps partnerships in balance and can signal unfaithfulness if it changes colour. Emerald stimulates the heart chakra, having a healing effect on the emotions as well as the physical heart.
Ruby (native of July) is a powerful stone to shield against negative energy, psychic attack, and energy vampirism, especially of the heart energy. Working with Ruby one may feel that all sense of limitation has been removed, strengthening courage, joy, leadership qualities and selfless work in all spiritual endeavors.
Citrine (native of November) Crystals are well known as potent healing crystals for you to use to aid you to manifest abundance and prosperity, but also have other properties, including to relieve fear and anxiety.
Mookaite Jasper is a physically stabilizing stone thought to boost the immune system and help counter the effects of aging. It is considered highly restorative for tissue deterioration of the internal organs, and useful in treating cystitis, high blood sugar, and disorders of the kidneys and bladder.
