Hi everyone,
The start of a new year is the perfect time to turn a new page, which is probably why so many people make New Year’s resolutions. The new year often feels like a fresh start and a great opportunity to change bad habits and establish new routines that will help you grow psychologically, emotionally, socially, physically, or intellectually. Of course, resolutions are much easier to make than to keep, and before we know it, many of us have abandoned our resolve and settled back into our old patterns.
I have been sharing my new year resolutions for the past 2 years here on the blog and it help me keep my commitment up (last year resolution post available here). 2020 was full of surprises and I was able to turn things around and focus on my goals. Not only I stayed on track but I was able to take on new goals / projects that I will further in 2021.
Last year resolution available here. I am mostly proud of what I accomplished with LaMoumous consulting services. The results were beyond expectations and in the coming days I will be sharing some more great news with you. And by the way, I am now a proud member of the International Association of Style Coaches IASC :-). I also keep up with my healthy lifestyle but of course there is room for improvement. Talking about improvement, I can definitely improve on spending more times with the kids. My new year resolutions for 2021 is simple: continue the journey of improving myself, of spending more times with my loved ones, staying of away from bad energies, focusing on my little business, and sharing my experience and knowledge with people around.
New Year 2021 Goals:
- Launching LaMoumous Style Coach Consulting Agency (small office for now);
- Launching something new in the month of Feb. Stay tune;
- Keeping up with my healthcare /selfcare journey (healthy lifestyle, haircare, workout, TLC)
- Getting ready to celebrate my 10th year wedding anniversary in January next year
- Working on my relationship with God and my family.
I won’t go deep into details but I will definitely keep you updated and provide more insights as we are progressing thru the year. Before I go, I am sharing 5 tips for keeping your resolutions this year:
- Choose a specific goal (SMART): choose a very specific, achievable goal.
- Limit your resolutions: Focusing yourself on one specific goal makes keeping a resolution much more achievable.
- Put time into planning: start by writing down your goal, making a list of things you might do to achieve that goal, and noting any obstacles that might stand in your way. By knowing exactly what you want to accomplish and the difficulties you might face, you’ll be better prepared to stick to your resolution and overcome anything that might sidetrack you.
- Start with small steps: focus on taking tiny steps that will ultimately help you reach your larger goal.
- Get support: ideally, find a like-minded pal or loved one to join you in your goal.
Also, try to Avoid repeating past failures and remember that change is a process so give yourself time to adjust. Renew your motivation daily by celebrating your accomplishments as little as they can be and keep working on your goals. And most importantly learn and adapt: If you are keeping a resolution journal, write down important information about when the relapse occurred, what might have triggered it, and what you might do differently next time. By understanding the challenges, you face, you will be better prepared to deal with them in the future.

I was able to complete one of my goals in 2020 and the second one is a work in progress I am carrying over into this year. I have 365 days, no make it 360 days to accomplish that goal this year. I know there will be setbacks and frustration but if I try I can and will accomplish it. In the meantime have a nice day.
