Hi everyone,
Taking good care of your skin is an essential part to any beauty regime. As we age, our skin naturally loses elasticity and firmness, but we can slow down this process by being attentive to our skin’s needs. Certainly, there are many ways you can stop harming your skin by quitting smoking or drinking less alcohol, but there are also ways we can improve our skin too. By developing a few healthy skin habits, you can have beautiful skin far into the future.
Get Some Exercise
Exercise is great for the body by helping you reduce that waistline, but it also has a superb effect on your skin’s health too. By getting the blood pumping around the body, you are encouraging the blood to rush to the skin’s surface, where it can remove harmful toxins that age the skin. Exercise also gives the skin more oxygen to breathe; it also promotes the production of collagen. Collagen is a great thing to increase in the skin as it is actually one of the main building blocks of healthy skin tissue. The more collagen you have, the better your skin will look.
Antioxidants
If you take antioxidants, they have the effect of protecting the skin from oxidative damage generally caused by free radicals. Free radicals are nasty little atoms that can harm the skin, causing aging, and they can also cause illnesses such as cancer in all parts of the body. Antioxidants actually remove these harmful things from the body. Ways you can increase the level of antioxidants in your body include buying an antioxidant vitamin or you can eat foods high in antioxidants such as dark chocolate and kale.
Buy Better Skin Care Products
The products we apply to our skin are very important to our overall look. First of all, if you are using a moisturizer that is wring for your skin type, you may actually be harming your skin instead of improving it. You need to work out your skin types i.e., normal, oily, dry, sensitive, or combination, and buy products that cater to that skin type. You could also try repairing products if you already have some skin damage, such as Biologique Recherche Serum Placenta. This reduces imperfections and gives you a better glow. There are plenty of excellent products out there, especially catering to your needs. All you have to do is be proactive and do is a little research and discover them.
Change Your Diet
If you are in the habit of buying a lot of fatty, sugary foods are causing damage to your skin all the time. Fatty foods can clog pores and give you acne. High glycemic foods, which are things that are full of sugars and refined carbohydrates, cause free radicals. There are so many ways food affects our skin. Try to eat foods high in good fats such as omega-3 and omega-6, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Also, eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, which can flush the body of harmful toxins.
