Hi everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving and did not break the bank on Black Friday Sales. The countdown to Christmas has officially begun. I am still at that depression phase. However, the plan is to get the Christmas decoration out over this weekend or my 5 year old daughter won’t forgive me. Anyway, today I am sharing 5 fashion tips on what to wear at a daytime wedding.
For a daytime wedding, think dressy or semi-formal attire. This is the time to wear a nice colorful dress or suit (jumpsuit?). You can wear pumps or dressy flats. If this is for a summer or late spring wedding, you may wear nice sandals but never wear flip flops, unless it’s an ultra-casual beach wedding then again I will refrain from doing that. If the wedding is outdoors, don’t forget to bring a shawl, sweater, jacket, or wrap to keep your shoulders warm.
So, what are the options:
- Pastels. You can’t go wrong, wearing pastel colors to a morning wedding;
- Floral! A dress with a colorful floral pattern is always a great look;
-
Lace. Go for colorful lace dresses for a morning wedding, and stay away from whites;
-
Jumpsuits. A jumpsuit is a great choice to wear to a morning wedding. Check previous post (here) for more tips on how to wear a jumpsuit for formal wear;
-
Skirts (why not?) Don’t rule out skirts for a morning wedding. You can wear a full skirt with an elegant top or even a chic crop top.
I highly recommend you stay away from long gown at a morning wedding unless it is light and flowy dress made out of a chiffon material or something similar.
